Altbots
Not everybody has friends but need a helping hand sometimes. That's why we have altbots! You can invite one of your characters to your party as a bot to lend you a hand but any more than that you'll have to make and use some friends instead. Concider it as a challenge rather a limitation.
These are bots so they are kind of dumb and there are problems with quest proggress
(world object looting) etc. You'll probably need to log in on your alt from time to time
and in my expperience, you'll do this a lot (maybe I'm the dumb?).
(make sure you're in a safe place when logging out)
Commanding
Hint: Use WoW's macro system to have hotkeys for the most frequently used commands.
For complete list check
documentation at GitHub.
- Say
.playerbots bot add Charactername - Log in specific alt, adding to your party (capitalize first letter)
- Say
.playerbots bot add * - Log in alts already in your party.
- Whisper
logout - Logs out your altbot. Automatic when you are logging out.
- Whisper
give leader - Pass party/raid leadership to player.
The bot handles many things independently: it accepts quests with you, hands over quests with you,
chooses useful quest rewards, learns skills from a trainer you talk to, resurrects you, equips
and greeds better looted gear...
Most of the manual controlling is done through whispering to your alt.
On error they are just silent which can be confusing.
quests all-
List current quests.
Handy to see if missing kills/items/etc. stats- Tell how full bags are and how brogen the gear is
u [game object]-
Use game object (link in chat shift-clicking)
Hearth stoning, recepies, quest starters... los- List objects surrounding in world for usage.

Open trade view and list all food items.
If trading view was already open, offer all food items to player.
(There's a list of similar keywords somewhere but I can't find it...) s vendor- Sell all items to vendor. Except food. Bots love food too much.
s food- Sell all food to vendor.
b [item]- Buy item from vendor.
repair- Repair gear at npc.
talents autopick- Choose talents automagically. No idea if the logic is good.
trainer learn-
Learn from trainer.
Mostly automagick for class trainers but needed for profession trainers. talk/accept [quest]/accept *- Questing commands when things don't just-work
home- Make an inn bot's home
release- Release the spirit of your ded altbot.
As you can see, the commands are pretty easy to understand and logical.
